The School of Business offers an Associate of Business Administration, a Bachelor of Arts in Business, and a Bachelor of Business Administration with concentration options in Accounting, Business Analytics, Finance, General Business, Healthcare Administration, Management, Management Information Systems, Marketing, and Sport Management. Additionally, minor options are available in General Business and Management Information Studies.
The BBA degree requires the completion of the business core courses (36 credit hours) and one BBA concentration (24 semester credit hours) in either Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Management, Management Information Systems, Marketing, Sport Management, or General Business.
The Accounting concentration provides students with a strong foundation in accounting concepts and principles, preparing them for diverse career opportunities in the field. Students will develop knowledge in financial reporting, taxation, auditing, managerial accounting, and accounting information systems while gaining practical experience with industry-standard tools and technologies. Graduates will be prepared for careers in public accounting, corporate finance, government, and nonprofit organizations.
The Business Analytics concentration focuses on statistical analysis, business intelligence, data visualization, and programming for analytics, equipping students with the ability to transform raw data into actionable insights. The Finance concentration provides students with a strong foundation in financial management, investment analysis, banking, and international accounting. The General Business concentration provides students with a broad and flexible business education by allowing them to take courses across multiple disciplines. The Healthcare Administration concentration provides students with a comprehensive understanding of business operations within the healthcare industry, preparing them to manage and improve healthcare organizations. Students will explore key aspects of healthcare administration, including the role of research and informatics in decision-making, strategies for enhancing patient care and quality of life, and best practices for creating and maintaining safe and efficient healthcare environments. The Management Information Systems concentration equips students with the skills to manage and optimize information systems in today’s dynamic business environment. Graduates may pursue entry-level roles such as systems or business analysts, information security specialists, consultants, user support analysts, programmers, or other positions in information management.
The Marketing concentration provides students with a comprehensive foundation in modern marketing strategies and practices, preparing them to meet the evolving needs of businesses and consumers. This concentration emphasizes key areas such as consumer behavior, brand management, digital and internet marketing, and marketing research. Students will develop specialized skills in managing communications, building customer relationships, and delivering value through strategic marketing initiatives.

The Sport Management concentration provides students with a foundational understanding of the sport industry while preparing them for entry-level careers through networking and hands-on experiences. This concentration covers key aspects of sport management, including public and media relations, legal and ethical considerations, governance and administration, and facility and event management. Students will explore the societal impact of sports, learn best practices for managing sporting events, and develop skills in marketing and promotion within the industry. Internship opportunities and professional networking further enhance students’ real-world understanding, preparing them to navigate the dynamic and competitive sports business environment.
Graduates of this concentration will be prepared for careers in sport marketing, event management, facility operations, athletic administration, sports media relations, and other roles within professional, collegiate, and recreational sports organizations.
The Pre-Law (PLAW.BBA) Concentration is part of Lincoln Memorial University’s Guaranteed Professional Admission (GPA) Program, offering an accelerated pathway for high-achieving students to transition from undergraduate studies into LMU’s Duncan School of Law (DSOL). This 3+3 program allows students to complete three years of undergraduate education, fulfilling the BBA Core (42 credit hours) and all other LMU graduation requirements before beginning law school.
Upon successful completion of their first year at DSOL, students will be awarded the BBA in Pre-Law, with their first-year law courses fulfilling a 24-credit-hour Pre-Law concentration within the undergraduate degree. While this program offers a direct pathway to law school, students must still meet all academic and admission requirements set by DSOL to gain entry.
This pathway provides students with a strong foundation in business principles while accelerating their legal education, preparing them for careers in corporate law, business consulting, compliance, contract negotiation, and other legal and business-related fields. The Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree provides a solid foundation of knowledge and skills in general business practices, is open to all students, and can serve as a second concentration. This is a degree option for students seeking secondary general business education licensure. It also provides an alternative to the Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration (BBA) for the student who might discover an interest in business during the latter portion of an undergraduate program of study.
The BA degree requires the completion of the business core curriculum.
The Bachelor of Arts (BA) with a secondary general business education licensure allows students to complete the business core curriculum and the professional education curriculum requirements for a total of 126 credit hours. This option allows students to become licensed educators in business for grades 6th through 12th. Students will work in collaboration with the LMU School of Business and the Carter & Moyers School of Education.
LMU also offers an associate-level degree program for interested students. The Associate of Business Administration (ABA) degree prepares the student to develop knowledge, understanding, critical thinking, and technical skills and abilities required in the business world.
